This place is totally AMAZING. Matera, protected by Unesco, is one of the oldest city in the world, existed since 9000years ago.
This city is basically built into the mountain, and the houses, which are called 'Sassi' are built into the rocks.

The movie 'Passion of the Christ' was shot here.
